Pilates Instructor
Carmell is a classically trained Pilates instructor who was first introduced to the method in 2005. She enjoys many forms of physical fitness from long distance running to high intensity workouts and strength training, all of which have been enhanced by her knowledge and practice of Pilates. Her desire to become an instructor grew after enduring multiple injuries from traditional forms of physical fitness. After healing her injuries with physical therapy and therapeutic movement, she knew she wanted to help others learn to move efficiently with an enhanced mind/body connection that would translate into their everyday lives. She is most energized in teaching when her students relate how they are able to move in ways they have never been able to before due to increased flexibility, greater core strength, better posture and decreased pain.
In her spare time Carmell can be found driving her four kids around to their various activities, reading, spending time with her husband, enjoying good food with friends, camping, traveling, and spending as much time outdoors as possible.
